Description
This photograph shows the South Haven Light, a pierhead lighthouse, at the entrance to the Black River on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. It was originally lit in 1872 and it remains operational today.
In this black and white photograph of a wave splashing over the pier, by Bill Swartwout Photography, the light structure is reflected in the water splashed onto the pier by wind-driven waves of Lake Michigan.
