Description
The sun sets under the Indian River Inlet Bridge - as seen from the north shore jetty at the outer end of the inlet. The bridge and inlet are just north of the town of Bethany Beach, Delaware and are surrounded by the Delaware Seashore State Park.
The suspended portion of this cable-stayed bridge is one half mile long and provides smooth access for traffic north and south along the coastal highway on Route 1, connecting the towns of Bethany Beach and Dewey Beach - and points farther south and north. It is a central architectural feature at the Delaware Seashore State Park, which attracts visitors, beach-goers and vacationers by the thousands.
